Most people believe our members get expenses. They don't.
Our volunteers actually pay their own fuel to go to and from every search they deploy to as well as all of their training sessions. This can be many hundreds of miles every month. Our Volunteers also buy a lot of the highly expensive specialist protective equipment they rely on such as mountain boots, waterproof trousers, thermal layers and so on. They give far more than just their time and they give an awful lot of that too!
