Most of our volunteer members actually pay their own fuel to go to searches, training and fundraising. This can be many hours and hundreds of miles every month. Many also have to buy much of the highly expensive specialist protective equipment they rely on such as mountain boots, waterproof trousers, thermal layers and so on. They give far more than just their time and they give an awful lot of that too!
