The National Search And Rescue Dog Association

Fallen Hero Red was a Search Dog with Member Association NSARDA Staffordshire.

He was a Senior Qualified, Fully Operational, Non-Specific Air Scenting Search Dog.

Red with his handler Dave were the first Search And Rescue dog Team in Staffordshire going on the create National Search And Rescue Dog Association Staffordshire.

A wonderful career both being trained and serving as a Search Dog for 12 years taking part in over 250 searches and successful finds of missing people.
Shortly after re grading at the age of 12 Red was diagnosed with cancer and forced to retire. Despite a prognosis of 6 weeks to 6 months, Red carried on for a further 12 months enjoying life and cheese.

Sadly last Thursday 30th Red had a sudden deterioration in his condition and the heart breaking decision was made to let him go. Red lived life to the full doing a job he loved surrounded by people who loved him. Everyone who came into contact with Red knew how special he was and he touched everyone’s hearts.
