Retired Advanced Mountain Rescue Search Dog Ruby passed away on Monday 31 July 2023, aged 14

It is with a very heavy heart that we regret to announce that retired Advanced Mountain Rescue Search Dog Ruby passed away on Monday, aged 14.

Ruby served her local community as a member of Arran Mountain Rescue Team and further afield across Scotland where, alongside her handler Daz, she responded to multiple requests to support Scottish Mountain Rescue Teams.

Ruby retired after an illustrious 9 year search career in Feb. 2019.

A truly wonderful and gifted search dog, Ruby never failed to impress all that were fortunate enough to witness her working.

Our thoughts and love at this tough time are with Daz, Lucy, Daisy, Louie and Oscar.

Run free Ruby, we all loved you and you will forever be in our hearts.

We will try and keep you posted as to what we are up to.

Being very busy volunteers, many with day jobs, we have little spare time so please bear with us.
