While qualified dogs were deployed to assist MR colleagues in the search for a missing person our trainee dogs and puppies were training in other areas of the Glen.

Southern Scotland | Our September training was based in the Glencoe area

Our September training weekend was based in the Glencoe area.

While qualified dogs were deployed to assist MR colleagues in the search for a missing person our trainee dogs and puppies were training in other areas of the Glen.

Trainee dogs worked steep hillsides and technical ground while our puppy school welcomed two new members Ghia and Ragnar 🐾🐶 We were also joined by a trainee dog team from Search & Rescue Dog Association (Scotland)

On Saturday we celebrated a very special Birthday. Call sign “Dog Ailish” celebrated her Birthday. Ailish is the daughter of one of our dog handlers and despite her young age has a phenomenal knowledge of working dogs. Ailish is one of the driving forces behind our puppy school, introducing the puppies and young dogs to the “game” of finding people. A very well deserved celebration with lots of cake ❤️🎂

A very productive training weekend, many thanks to the landowners, our volunteer bodies and to www.heartofglencoe.co.uk for hosting us.

We will try and keep you posted as to what we are up to.

Being very busy volunteers, many with day jobs, we have little spare time so please bear with us.
