Scout Observing his first ever search training day December 2018 Wasn’t he small and cute then !
This is Scout learning to ‘Indicate’ after a simple ‘Find’ and to ‘Alert’ then do a ‘Show Me’. I was unable to teach Scout to bark on command ias a puppy so I opted for a jump alert. I was able to change this later.
Scout – Air Scent Search Dog In Training July 2019 This is Scout doing a short search to practice his ‘Alert’ and ‘Show Me’. The person who is hiding confirms on the radio he has been found. You will notice Scout used to have a jump alert. I converted this in 2020 to a Bark Alert – it could hurt !
Scout – Air Scent Search Dog In Training Feb 20202 His first ever building search with dog handler Stuart Kenny from NSARDA KENT.
Scout – Air Scent Search Dog In Training September 2020 This is Scout showing the full search sequence with direction control from me, locating scent, finding the missing person, coming back to ‘Alert’ at me (jump at this time), doing the ‘Show Me’ and taking me to them and finally getting his well earned ‘Reward’, which tug toy play and some gravy bones to finish with lots of praise.
