During her remarkable eight years on the call-out list, Holly proved to be an exceptional search dog for SARDA IOM. Her lightning-fast speed and incredible efficiency were unmatched, making her an invaluable asset to the team. Countless call-outs were carried out with her by our side, keeping the Manx community safe and reuniting loved ones with their families.
What makes Holly’s achievements even more extraordinary is her journey from rescue to rescuer. Gary Wright, her devoted handler, rescued Holly when she was just a young pup, and together they formed an unbreakable bond. Holly’s transformation into an extraordinary search dog stands as a testament to the power of love, trust, and the incredible potential that lies within every rescued dog.
As Holly embarks on her final journey, we express our deepest gratitude to Gary for his unwavering support of Holly over the past 10 years. The dedication to search and rescue, both through Holly’s service and Gary’s continued involvement with SARDA IOM as a navigator, training coordinator, and committee member, has been invaluable.
While we mourn the loss of Holly, we celebrate the extraordinary achievements she had throughout her career. Her impact on the lives she touched and the safety she ensured will never be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Holly. Your legacy as a search dog will not be forgotten by any of us at SARDA.
